Puako
Puako is a small, oceanfront community on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island located about 30 miles from Kailua Kona and 22 miles north of the Kona Airport. It’s right next to the largest white sand beach Hapuna and 69’s. Also near the Mauna Lani, Mauna Kea, and Waikoloa Resorts. These resorts are known for their beautiful championship golf courses.
Abundant Sea Life
During low tide, small pools are filled with small sea life, and are excellent areas for exploring. Sea turtles, dolphins, and migrating whales are some of the sea life you may see. The reefs off Puako are great for snorkeling, scuba diving, and kayaking!
